Cologne 9.9.

When the Bike for Europe North Team arrive in the beautiful city of Cologne on the banks of the River Rhine, they will be welcomed by our partners from Radkomm e.V., who are responsible for the people’s initiative “Aufbruch Fahrrad” to improve cycling infrastructure, lobby for transport policies based around the needs of people instead of cars, and promote cycling as a way of sustainable living in the North-Rhine Westphalia region.

The team will also visit the garage of the Faradgang e.V., which is situated in a community garden. There, the “gang” repairs donated bikes before giving them away to refugees for free.

Furthermore, the Team will be treated to a guided cycling tour of the city, see the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, the tallest twin-spired church on earth, before setting off towards their next stop, Koblenz.
