This year, on 9th September, Institute of Public Health County of Međimurje in cooperation with the City of Prelog and cycling association called Laganini will join the NowWeBike Journey of Hope. Following the press conference, with which activities of a forthcoming Sport Week and FlashMove will be announced, there will be a short program carried out in Prelog to send-off a group of cyclists who will travel to Košice to participate in the Programme of Official opening Ceremony of the 2nd European Week of Sport. Children of Kindergarten „Fijolica“ will participate in the programme by riding their bicycles to the event and thus symbolically giving support to the participants of NowWeBIKE Journey of Hope. The mayor of the City of Prelog and the director of the Institute of Public Health County of Međimurje will welcome cyclists and whish them a safe Journey. At 9 am departure of seven participants of the bicycle tour from Prelog to Balaton (approximately 100 km) is planned. Arrival to Balaton Lake is planned around 3 pm. After a short refreshement and lunch, journey to Košice will be continued by cars. Arrival to Košice is planned around 9pm. After an overnight stay in Košice we will join the rest of cyclists participating in the ceremony of official opening of the European Week of Sport and thus giving support to this esceptionally valuable initiative.
