South Team of #BikeForEurope #BeActive #WithRefugees is cycling to Ancient Olympia for the opening of Face Forward …into my home, an interactive art project focused on the stories of people who have been forced to leave their homelands and are rebuilding their life in Greece. It includes storytelling workshops inspired by a selection of contemporary artworks from the collection of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST), the photo shooting of portraits, and a photography exhibition about and with refugees and asylum-seekers, now living in the greater Athens area, benefitting from ESTIA, the Emergency Support To Integration and Accommodation programme implemented by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and funded by the European Commission. The Ancient Olympia Festival is characterized by the variety of themes and aims to the appointment of all the areas of the ancient site, the two ancient theatres (the theatre of Olympia Floka and the small theatre Drouva), the exhibition areas, events at the pedestrian zone of Olympia town. Concerts, theatrical plays for children and adults, photography exhibitions and even more are waiting for the visitors to enjoy a wonderful summer. The Ancient Olympia Festival is scheduled during the months of July and August every year. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia is one of the principal museums of Greece, located in Olympia and when the original building was completed and opened in 1882, it was the first museum in Greece outside of Athens.The museum houses discoveries from the surrounding area, including the site of the Ancient Olympic Games. The principal pieces in the museum are Hermes and the Infant Dionysus , parts the Temple of Zeus and the Nike of Paionios,
